<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFzSs-tPhDadtjrSsH8-JYhjRmZw8CUohLskYe4UU2OzDFzDMMiKSW9xkfqoqEyXuup0rJiXi0kd8poglqnviIhhG_plImC-m27SF7wQGJf0bYw9JpOYxSrfQHqoYLFatOIuKGCtqHyPDo/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="407" data-original-width="568" height="228" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFzSs-tPhDadtjrSsH8-JYhjRmZw8CUohLskYe4UU2OzDFzDMMiKSW9xkfqoqEyXuup0rJiXi0kd8poglqnviIhhG_plImC-m27SF7wQGJf0bYw9JpOYxSrfQHqoYLFatOIuKGCtqHyPDo/s320/Untitled.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
People wear all sorts of disguises at the poker table: weakness, strength, bluster, naivety. It’s the nature of the game. So it only makes sense that new forms of deception at the poker table would evolve as the popularity of the game’s newest innovation -- poker online -- spread. It’s no wonder then that, when you can’t see the person you’re playing against, there’s a good chance they’re not who they profess to be -- like male or female. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It’s an honest to goodness phenomenon, with its very own name -- <b>Betrosexuality</b>: presenting oneself as the opposite gender at a poker online table. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now, to be fair to the term, and its history, Betrosexuality was actually coined prior to its use in poker online, and occasionally with slightly different implications. Here are a couple of alternate definitions of the terms: </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- Betrosexuals wager on both men’s and women’s sporting events </div>
<div>
- Betrosexuals sell sexual favors by lottery </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Recent research analyzed by Nottingham Trent University Professor Mark Griffiths reports that 23% of female British poker online players pretend to be men and more than 10% of British male poker online players pretend to be women. British betrosexuals are reportedly wagering an estimated 213 million pounds sterling at poker online rooms. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There are a few ways gender is represented at a poker online table that may elude some players, they’re so subtle. But as much in the background as they are, they make a potent impact in people’s gameplay. They are: </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Screen Names: </b> A poker online player’s chosen nickname has always been a prime indicator of their demeanor (or posed demeanor) -- so The Terminator would connote aggressiveness and Bill Gates might suggest a limitless bankroll; poker online screen names can also connote gender (ie. Poker Daddy, Hot Mamma, Club Girl, Mr. Poker); </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Avatars: </b> If your poker online room uses avatars (3D human or humanoid figures) to represent the players, you could easily throw your fellow players off kilt (if you know how to use this advantage, that is -- more on that in a moment); </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Chat:</b> The chat window is always a popular part of the poker online experience as this is where people often betray themselves. That said, still others, knowing this fact, only <b>pretend</b> to do so. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But using this form of deception effectively requires far more than simply misrepresenting yourself. For, once you’ve planted the seed, you need to know how to nurture and grow it. You need -- in other words -- to know how gender plays into poker online and off alike, and you need to know how to play <b>the game</b> based on this knowledge. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So let’s get to the two basic considerations in questioning your betrosexuality in poker online: </div>
<div>
<b>Why would a woman pretend to be a man? </b></div>
<div>
Many women believe men tend to play more aggressively against women but less so when playing against other men.<b></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Why would a man pretend to be a woman? </b></div>
<div>
Many men believe players loosen up their gameplay when they believe they’re playing against a women as they expect the woman to be a poorer player and therefore not know the value, or lack thereof, of the cards they are holding. </div>
<div>
As you can undoubtedly see, both misconceptions are poison at a poker online table. You might as well just hand over your chips to the other players than allow yourself to succumb to foolish and stereotypical attitudes about how gender influences poker ability. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That said, as we see it, there are two ways to beat Betrosexuals at the poker online tables: Keep your poker online strategy consistent and <b>gender neutral, </b>or become a Betrosexual yourself! </div>
<div>

<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A bird’s nest provides an environment for it’s eggs to develop during a birds breeding season. Although nests are considered words of art in some certain species of birds, many birds may not build a nest for laying of their eggs. Instead, the birds may lay their eggs directly into a hole in the ground. All birds prefer and require different nest sizes and shapes. Birds also use many different building materials to construct their ideal nest. Some may use sticks and twigs, while others may use spider webs. It is extremely important where a nest is placed. Protection from the extreme temperatures and the predators is necessary. Birds, by natural instinct, know how and where to build their nest, and make it a safe and comfortable environment for their young. The most safe of nest boxes would be that of a woodpeckers. Woodpeckers make their ideal nests directly into tree trunks or branches. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There is no accurate way to design a birds’ nest. All birds favor is a safe and secure place which protects them from the weather and predators. Some bird species prefer a certain location and type of nest, so the nest box can be constructed to meet those specific needs. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At the end of each breeding season, the nest box should be taken down and scolded in hot water to clean it an remove any unwanted parasites. Never use cleaning solutions to clear your nest box of filth, the chemical agents may become trapped in the nest and kill your birds. Nest cleaning should be done between October and November.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMFjDVyEo89CTPJYHSwcRPQgnKO2kHwDEN_7jDH13f4mJ_FBODhXhdBDBeyVAYsPNu0uUVsFmXzZCHajg7GNE8J9WCBX85tu6kUk-aD8bPk7xIY4k58IUGPlfMToliww8cpTN3-CEErahu/s1600/2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="367" data-original-width="698" height="168" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMFjDVyEo89CTPJYHSwcRPQgnKO2kHwDEN_7jDH13f4mJ_FBODhXhdBDBeyVAYsPNu0uUVsFmXzZCHajg7GNE8J9WCBX85tu6kUk-aD8bPk7xIY4k58IUGPlfMToliww8cpTN3-CEErahu/s320/2.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
<div>
Whenever you make any purchase it is important to take into account what you are buying. Whether buying for yourself or for someone else as a gift, you should examine your options and think through what you would like to buy. Purchasing model ship kits is no different. Additionally, because model ship kits can be rather expensive, it is sometimes even more important for you to carefully consider your options before committing to one kit or another. Here are some things to consider before you spend your money on a model ship kit.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Budget. This is always the first consideration whenever you buy anything, including model ship kits. Because there are kits that cost tens of thousands of dollars as well as those that cost less than $100, it is important to know how much you are willing to spend.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Skill Level. Different model ship kits are for people of different skill levels. Make sure you know whether you need a beginner, intermediate, or advanced kit before you buy. It is not so bad to give one that is below level, but the results can be devastating when the skill level is too advanced.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Motorized or Not. Some model ship kits come with motors so that they can self-propel through the water. These can be expensive to fuel and maintain, so make sure you understand what is involved before purchasing a motorized ship.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Time Period. There are ships from many different time periods. Model ship kits offer a wide range of time periods in the history of sea travel. If you or someone you are buying for has a preference, you should make sure that the kit you purchase meets that preference.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Specific Ship. Not only is it possible to buy model ship kits that fit a time period, but it is also possible to build replicas of ships that actually existed (or still do). So find out whether you or your friend needs a certain ship for a collection, and then buy that ship.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Quality. If you are concerned about quality, make sure that you purchase your model ship kits from a reputable company. There are plenty of hobby shops and online kit purveyors that can help you find a good quality ship, often at good prices.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Support. The best hobby shops and other sellers of model ship kits offer support and advice. Some even offer warrantees on their products. If you are looking for good service, make sure you purchase your kit from a company that provides support and help from professionals.</div>
<div>

<div>
Purchase a lead crystal animal figurine from the area where the making of lead crystal glass first began. Turkey has been involved in crafting crystal figurines for many centuries. Small workshops in towns and villages are the settings where the crystal animal figurine is created in a variety of designs. Today the dolphin is one of the most popular as a crystal animal figurine. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The art of creating lead crystal glass figurines has not changed significantly throughout the many centuries. The process begins with the craftsman melting the molten glass ingredients in a furnace. A wooden mould is also used to shape the glass. After the craftsman inspects the crystal figurine he is creating and finds that this step is finished, he then lets it cool for 36-48 hours.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After the crystal animal figurine has cooled for the specific period of time, the craftsman uses an emery stone to facet the surface. This gives the lead crystal piece its beautiful reflective qualities. He then adds any specific details he wants to see in the crystal. Many of the crystal animal figurines are left smooth, but there may be details that need to be added to the figurine, such as eyes. This process is how Turkish crystal figurines are made and these workshops are noted for their attention to detail and perfection in the pieces they produce.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Although a Turkish crystal animal figurine can be expensive, it is well worth what you pay for it. They are true works of art that you will certainly want to add to your collection. A lead crystal figurine of any design in your curio cabinet carries with it the centuries of history that developed its creation. You can look at it and know that the work that went into its creation is a time honored tradition from the past that is still used in the present, in spite of all the new technology that has since been developed. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When you have a crystal animal figurine crafted in lead crystal glass you can consider yourself lucky. Today there is a strong demand for crystal animal figurines made in Turkey, from many other parts of the world. The quality of today’s crystal figurines is just as superior as it was hundreds of years ago.</div>

<div>
<div>
What to do with a sewing pattern once you take it out of the envelope.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You have searched the pattern books, found the perfect pattern for your material and now you are off home to make it up.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What is the first thing you need to do?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You will have selected a pattern for your size, when you open the envelope, everything is folded neatly. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Take the instruction sheet and it will show you how to set out the pattern on your fabric, there will be the lay-outs for the different widths of fabric, and for with or without nap. Some fabrics you can cut out your pattern pieces in opposite directions others you will have to lay the pattern pieces all going the same way or else the fabric will show a different shade, velvets and corduroys are a good example.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Cut around the edge of the seam allowances with paper scissors, not the scissors you will be cutting the fabric with.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Always check the pattern pieces against you, you can pin the various pieces together and try it on to see if there needs to be any adjustments before you start cutting the fabric.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>With your fabric right side out, place and pin the pattern pieces according to the layout for your fabric width and cut your fabric pattern pieces out. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>You will see triangles known as notches. circles, arrows, broken lines, unbroken lines. On some patterns you will also see on the seam stitching lines arrows. This is according to the pattern maker the direction to stitch that seam.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
6.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Once you have cut out all the pieces, get your tracing carbon. Fold the tracing carbon so that when you place it between the fabric and trace, you will have the pattern marked on the inside of your fabric. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
7.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>If possible get a plastic tracing wheel, it will not cut into your pattern tissue. some metal tracing wheels will cut the pattern and make it hard to re-use that pattern again.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
8.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Transfer all the pattern markings to the inside of your fabric, use a rule to guide along the long seam lines.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
9.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Now you are ready to start sewing your garment and everything you had on your pattern is now on the inside of your fabric.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
10.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Once again, check the pieces against you to make sure the fit is right. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
11.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Pin, tack, baste where necessary, press as you go, fit as you go and follow the instructions, take it step by step.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
12.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>As a general guide when deciding on what length of fabric to purchase you need twice your length plus the length of the sleeve if you are making something with a sleeve. For skirts or pants you will need twice your length. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
13.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>When looking for fabrics, anything that feels stiff will have a lot of what is called sizing and when it is laundered could go very limp and not hold its shape. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
14.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>A good test for crushing is to scrunch the fabric in your hand and see if the creases will fall out. If they stay, then this will always crush no matter how carefully your press it.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
15.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Purchase your notions when you purchase your fabric, thread, zipper, bias binding, interfacing, lining, check the pattern envelope for what you will need to complete your garment.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Well that’s the main points for getting your pattern tight and happier sewing.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
These hobbyists or adventurers may find it very beneficial not in terms of using this device to really get expected hunt like the archeologists and the sea fearer underwater hunters and pirates, but it provides a lot of enjoyment and exercise attainable at any rate just like in athletic gymnasiums.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Viewing from the immediate past, the misconception of metal detector is that of a very bulky backpack that is shoulder breaking, conceptualized in relation to the heavy adventurous perk of one who goes out for great land or sea adventures. Today, the modern innovation of such device devaluated that bulky heavy concept for metal detectors are sleek, lightweight rig, easy to use and handy that won't make someone tire until he spots his pot of gold.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The Underwater Metal Detector</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Considered a best companion for sea fearers, sea sports enthusiasts, and fishermen, this underwater device serves best beside a batch of other equipment to any hunter at sea. A deep ocean adventure is incomplete without this piece of metal device, and it is very valuable at all cost. To a skilled scuba diver, having it is a must before his plunge into the deep waters.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Manufacturers who have reached high levels of expertise in metal detector design, and perfected pulse discovery techniques over the years paved ways to cope with today's innovation of the underwater metal searcher. Both amateur and professional divers could avail alike for easy use, handling, reliability, and practicability.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
One of the best, if not, the best in metal detector today; the Elsec Metal Detector 2000 manufactured of tough non-corrosive construction for heavy-duty, using PVC ultimate High-Pressure moldings.</div>

<div>
Stamp collecting doesn’t have to be an expensive hobby. You can enjoy collecting stamps with limited financial resources. Here are 10 really low-cost ways to start stamp collecting. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1. Ask your friends to use commemorative stamps on their mail when they write to you. Commemorative stamps are generally larger than regular stamps and are issued to honor famous people, places, or events. Because commemorative stamps are usually issued in lesser quantities than common smaller stamps, they are of much more interest to collectors. Tell your friends that you are a stamp collector and ask them to request commemorative stamps at the post office. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2. When you send away for offers that require postage or self-addressed, stamped envelopes, use commemorative stamps. You’ll get them back when the envelopes are returned to you.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3. Ask your neighbors, friends, and relatives to save their used stamps for you. You’ll find that most people will be happy to save their stamps for you when they learn that you are a collector.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4. If you know someone who gets letters from other countries, ask them to save those stamps. Always be on the lookout for potentially good stamp contacts, and don't be afraid to ask them to go through their mail for you before they throw away all the envelopes.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. Ask friends and family to save the envelopes from their office mail for you. Many businesses get a lot of foreign mail and regularly throw away stamps that have interest and value to a collector.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
6. Ask your parents if they have any old letters with stamps on the envelopes. Don’t peel the stamp off the envelope. This will cause thin spots or tears, both of which ruin a stamp's appearance and lessen its value to collectors. Always tear off the envelope corner so that there is paper all around the stamp, and make sure that all of the perforations are undamaged.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
7. If you know other stamp collectors, ask them if they have duplicates that they are willing to give or sell to you. Many collectors have thousands of duplicates and they are often willing to help get new philatelists get started by giving them stamps or by selling them packets of stamps much more cheaply than can be purchased in stores or by mail.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
8. Look for free stamps advertised by stamp companies. Free stamps are often offered along with “approvals,” an assortment of other stamps that you must either buy or return. This can be a convenient way to buy stamps. Note, however, that you usually have to pay the return postage if you return the approval stamps. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
9. Check out stamp clubs in your area. Clubs may offer stamps as prizes, or have inexpensive stamps you can afford to buy. Some stamp clubs sponsor junior clubs the local community center, YMCA, or schools. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
10. Consider starting a stamp club if one doesn’t already exist in your area. It only takes four or five other stamp collectors who are interested in getting together to learn about and trade stamps and ideas.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
With free stamps and a few inexpensive accessories, such as a small album and a package of stamp hinges, even collectors with little money can have a great time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So, what are you waiting for? Start collecting stamps today!</div>

It's so easy a child can do it.<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtjsj3tEnCYzYdrURA1QG-UA-IQTQf-EXTVphKRIk5tdP9OzpEboChQNyQT-fZD7RwJt4hgYcb0LAJsd2QChJWgQLcObz5q7aZbV0OzXJf67Zkdllf7yfrAbC22Hi7ra6UrPiI9CdvXL77/s1600/2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="407" data-original-width="745" height="174" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtjsj3tEnCYzYdrURA1QG-UA-IQTQf-EXTVphKRIk5tdP9OzpEboChQNyQT-fZD7RwJt4hgYcb0LAJsd2QChJWgQLcObz5q7aZbV0OzXJf67Zkdllf7yfrAbC22Hi7ra6UrPiI9CdvXL77/s320/2.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Learning how to play guitar well is not easy. There are so<br />
many methods and so many conflicting opinions, it makes<br />
it difficult to know what to do.<br />
<br />
But the simple fact is, if you want to be the best you can,<br />
as soon as you can, then all you need to do is - copy what<br />
the pro's do...<br />
<br />
Master the Basics!<br />
<br />
Mastering the basics means being able to play in all keys.<br />
Being able to transpose any song to any other key - on<br />
the spot preferably.<br />
<br />
Did you know that 95% of guitarists DON'T master the<br />
basics. Oh yes, they mean to get around to it, but they<br />
hardly ever do.<br />
<br />
Why is that? Well, it's because they think it's boring,<br />
complicated and too much hard work. And most of all - no<br />
fun! And mostly they were right. Well, it needn't be that<br />
way. Mastering the basics can be a lot of fun if you go<br />
about it in a methodical set-by-step way.<br />
<br />
What does mastering the basics entail?<br />
<br />
There are 6 basic steps you need to follow:<br />
<br />
1. Learn the names of all notes on all strings, one string at<br />
a time.<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Learn how to construct a C Major scale.<br />
<br />
Basic must-know guitar theory. Easy stuff.<br />
<br />
<br />
3. Learn how the chords of the major scale are made and<br />
what they are... their names etc. C Dm Em F G Am Bdim.<br />
<br />
Basic chord construction knowledge.<br />
<br />
<br />
4. Learn the triad patterns for the C major scale all over<br />
the fret board.<br />
<br />
Triads are simple 3-note chords. Easy and fun to learn and<br />
play.<br />
<br />
<br />
5. Learn to play those triads with common chord<br />
progressions.<br />
<br />
Learn to play and apply the triads to the most common<br />
chord progressions that fit thousands and thousands of<br />
songs.<br />
<br />
<br />
6. Learn to do step 5 in all keys.<br />
<br />
Once you can do steps one to five in the key of C, it's real<br />
easy to learn it for the other 11 major keys.<br />
<br />
Hint: It's much easier than you think. All the patterns are<br />
exactly the same as what you learn for C major. You don't<br />
have to learn any new patterns. Cookie cutter stuff.<br />
<br />
It really is not hard at all. All you need is a methodical<br />
step-by-step method that makes sense and is easy and<br />
fun to use.<br />

<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In 1912, Coca-Cola sold for pennies a bottle. Today that same Non-Amber Straight Sided Script Coca-Cola Bottle can be purchased as a classic collectible for close to $150. That’s more than three times the current value of one share of Coca-Cola stock. So while it might have been wise in 1919 when the Coca Cola Company released shares of common stock to have purchased some, I might also have been clever to have kept a six-pack of Coke hidden under my mattress for 87 years or so and sold it today for over $900. In fact, even the bottle carrier on its own would catch a collector’s eye today!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What makes Coca-Cola bottles such a coveted collectible? Not only has Coke played a part in many people’s fond personal memories of childhood days gone by but it has also been interwoven throughout American culture and history. Artwork from America’s Golden Age of Illustration by renowned artists Norman Rockwell and N.C. Wyeth was used for advertisements. 1928 initiated an unprecedented partnership with the Olympic Games as the soda traveled with our Olympic Team to distant shores. In 1941 the US entered the war and The Coca Cola Company responded by saying that any serviceman anywhere in the world would be able to get a Coke for 5 cents a bottle, no matter what it would cost the company to get it there. We easily can recall the rosy-cheeked Santa Claus sipping his Coca-Cola while delivering his treasures, or the jingle of “It’s the Real Thing” or the images of children of the world holding hands on a hilltop singing “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” speaking to tumultuous times of the late 60’s and early 70’s and their desire to bring about a “sweeter” time. In 1985 it even became the first soft drink consumed in outer-space. It almost becomes blurry as to whether the memory is of the event, the era or of the Coke itself. What is clear though is that Coke was there. And those are powerful associations to drive collectors.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It is no longer only the memories and history associated with Coca-Cola bottles however that encourages the collector’s desire. Special edition bottles have also been, and continue to be, specifically created to commemorate places and events. In limited supply, the demand for these special collectible soda bottles and particularly the unique bottle carriers, (most often quickly discarded by the average consumer once the sodas are safely home) rises significantly creating collectible value based simply on their limited numbers. Commemorative editions, such as the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic bottle, or the Big Drive of ’89 Montana bottle or the more recent six-pack of 2006 Academy Awards Diet Coke are also only released geographically, making them even more specialized and therefore, valued.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Coca-Cola bottles tell a story of Americana and a story of making something special out of the ordinary. Coca-Cola drinkers share over 100 years of thirst-quenching memories. It has been with us through personal events and more significant times in recent history. While writing this article I asked a group of friends “do you have memories of Coke from your childhood?” Four faces immediately smiled and nodded back at me. Perhaps Coca-Cola’s original owners Dr. John Stith Pemberton and his partner, Frank M. Robinson were on to something even bigger than they realized all those years ago, it’s quite possible that they really did capture time in a bottle.</div>

Well, it most certainly matters to you and unless you have a passion or hobby that nobody else in the world has ever heard of, there are probably plenty of other people who share your passion or hobby and may even more into it than you are.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Being deeply involved in a hobby or passion is the stuff that successful niche marketing is made of. Most really successful niche marketers have turned what the care about the most into successful businesses. The reason for their success is their passion about the theme of their websites.<br />
<br />
Creating a successful niche marketing site takes a lot of time and a lot more dedication. Unless you are passionate about the subject, it is hard to stay focused on it long enough to make it a success. So passion and dedication are your two biggest assets. You must be willing to put in long hours and be willing to accept the fact that it will be quite some time before you start realizing a profit…even a modest one. Keeping on keeping on is the only way you will ever be successful at niche marketing.<br />
<br />
You can establish a money-making niche marketing website with the theme about the very things that you love the most. If you can correctly define your niche, make certain that people are willing to pay for the product or service that you are selling, and locate that specific audience; there is no reason why you can’t build a niche marketing site that is all about your greatest passion or the hobby that you most enjoy. Imagine that! Being able to make money and do what you love doing at the same time. It doesn’t get any better than that!<br />

There are many issues about the choice of stringing material for beading. Here is an interesting article on the different stringing materials and their usage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcS5I5oJjSZkqJBSnxMpX5tHAL6cJRvgNhkK57RaSAOqzKZWvPIaeMenrUETSbw1h_PpPcPpbIH5arD7kVsG-q6a25nviim6Su45MJYCc0MV-r8Gb6KDmRZvqUn5zRVacTAN-kNO3HNyio/s1600/2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="354" data-original-width="394" height="287" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcS5I5oJjSZkqJBSnxMpX5tHAL6cJRvgNhkK57RaSAOqzKZWvPIaeMenrUETSbw1h_PpPcPpbIH5arD7kVsG-q6a25nviim6Su45MJYCc0MV-r8Gb6KDmRZvqUn5zRVacTAN-kNO3HNyio/s320/2.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div>
<div>
One very important lesson I learned is that there is no one, all-purpose (Universal) stringing material.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here are the major stringing materials along with how and when to use each of them.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
SILK THREAD: Silk has a wondrous “hand” (a soft, flexible feel). This thread comes in many sizes and colors. It comes packaged on spools, and “carded” with an attached needle. This is a classic stringing material and forms beautiful knots between pearls and beads. But, silk tends to be relatively fragile. It can stretch, be cut by abrasive beads, rot when wet, and pearls strung on silk should be re strung every few years. It is best to use silk when stringing pearls and lightweight, smooth-holed beads, only. A needle is necessary.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
NYLON THREAD: (Nymo): This thread also comes in many sizes and colors. It comes packaged on spools, on bobbins, and “carded” with a needle attached. Nylon can be used where-ever silk can and is not as fragile. This material knots beautifully and can be used for pearl stringing, in some strung jewelry, seed beadwork, loom weaving, for Peyote and other specialty stitches, and heishi. Nylon stretches much less than silk, and it won’t rot when wet. Like silk, you shouldn’t use beads with sharp edged holes or that are heavy. When you use nylon thread, I would recommend you coat your thread with bee’s wax or “Thread HeavenTM “ before use to prevent it from fraying. A needle is necessary.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
BONDED NYLON: This is a much stronger form of nylon thread. The strands are physically bonded together for extra strength and abrasion protection. Although it knots well, it doesn’t have the “hand” of silk. Bonded nylon comes in a variety of colors and smaller spools. Because of its abrasion resistance, you can use it with “hard”, more abrasive gem beads; in fact this comes close to being a “Universal Thread”. Brand names include: “Stringth” or “Silkon”. A needle is necessary, although you can put “Super Glue” on the end to form a “Self-needle”. This is a favorite beading material of mine.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
FISHING LINE: This material is a hard, semi-rigid, single strand of plastic. It doesn’t knot well, and in time sunlight or ultraviolet light can cause it to weaken and fall apart. Fishing line is purchased on small spools and is sold in sporting goods stores. Personally, I use fishing line for two purposes. I use it to do my preliminary stringing while I am designing a necklace (I transfer the beads to a better material for the final product), and to string together “raw” strands of beads. There is no needle necessary. I would never use this material for a final beaded piece.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<div>
No, I didn’t misspell the word sweet. Suet is a particular food that birds just can’t resist, to wit, a great way to attract them to your bird house. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A Suet Way To Attract Birds To Your Yard</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Make no mistake about it, Suet is some nasty stuff. It is the thick, white fat from a side of beef. It is slick and hardly appetizing food stuff. That is, unless you are a bird. For some unknown reason, Suet is the chocolate of the bird habitat. If you want to attract birds to the bird house you have set up in the backyard, this is the stuff guaranteed to do it. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You can buy Suet at your local grocery store. Many offer it in a combination with bird seeds of a sort, but grocery store bird seed is not the best. All and all, you are probably better off just buying it without the helpful additives. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Once you have the Suet, you need to consider how exactly to use it. There are a couple of problems. First, it is fat. Fat does not do well in the sun, at least not over a few days. It spoils, turning goopy and starts putting off a nasty fragrance. As a result, you should probably stick to small amounts of Suet as bait and some will remove it in the evening. Another option is to actually melt the fat and mix it with whatever else you have been using as bait. Cracked corn, sunflower seeds, peanuts, and milo are a few typical choices. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Anyway you cut it, Suet is some nasty stuff. It is, however, a great way to get the attention of a wide variety of birds in your area.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Turning your favorite hobby into a profitable business isn't as difficult as you think. But there are three things you absolutely must have in order to succeed<br />

<br />
<div>
<div>
With over 70% of people who responded to a recent survey revealing that they were thinking about starting a business of some sort, working from home is becoming more the norm than ever before.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The problem for many people is that they don’t really know where to start and how to turn their dream into something tangible. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3 critical things you'll need in order to turn your hobby into a profitable business are -</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
#1 – A Positive Attitude</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
By far your biggest asset in turning your favorite hobby into a thriving business is a positive attitude. I think it was Harry F. Banks who said, “Attitude determines your altitude”.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you are going to pursue your dream and make it a reality, you must have a positive attitude and the willingness to commit to what it takes to make it happen.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So many people start out on the road to turning their hobby into a business, and then at the first sign of an obstacle, they give up, often just before they start to see results.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A positive attitude will help you to break through the barriers and temporary setbacks and reach your desired goal.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
#2 – The Determination To Succeed</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Many people who fall in love with the idea of turning their hobby into a business are looking for an easy way out and at the first problem, they give up and let circumstances crush their dreams.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
By developing a fierce determination to succeed, your chances of creating a profitable business are infinitely higher and you are virtually setting yourself up for success.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
While there are not guarantees that you will eventually make it, having the determination to push on regardless of minor problems and find solutions is the mark of a true winner.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Determination and a positive attitude can work together to help a dedicated person succeed where others have failed</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
#3 – A Proven System</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The final and some would say most important thing you’ll need is a proven system for marketing your products and/or services.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You need a step by step process that you can follow to ensure your success; something that other’s have used successfully to achieve the same goal you have.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It’s no use having an incredibly positive attitude and loads of determination if you choose a system that’s flawed and never had a chance of working in the first place.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Look for proof that other people have followed any system you are considering and become successful.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Unfortunately, many people waste money, and more importantly, valuable time, chasing the latest fad or scheme offered by unscrupulous promoters. Most of these schemes haven't agot hope of succeeding, but people fall for them every day.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Don’t ever take the promoter’s word that it will work for you…demand unquestionable PROOF that many people, from all walks of life, have been able to use what he or she is offering to turn their hobby or passion into a profitable business.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When it comes to the system, results are the only thing that matters…</div>
</div>
<div>

<div>
A Rare Bird Indeed For Bird Watchers – The Atlantic Puffin</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Observing an Atlantic Puffin is a bird watcher’s golden egg because they are not prevalent in the world. As the name suggests, they can only be found on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and only during certain times of the year. If you are building a life list, this is a bird that will set you apart from others. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The Atlantic Puffin is a beautiful bird, a member of the Auk family of birds. A seabird, this little bird is a fisher in the ocean, often diving 50 feet or more to catch dinner. It is marked by its white lower body, which contrasts with a midnight black back and wings. The head is black topped with white around the eyes and extending to the beak. The beak is a cornucopia of sweeping colors with yellow, black and red being the dominant pigments. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This little beauty is the only member of the Puffin family of birds found in the Atlantic. It is typically found in northern reaches, from Maine up through the artic and down through northern Europe. Occasionally, the Puffin will range as far south as North Carolina on the coast of North America, but not often. For bird watcher’s in the continental United States and elsewhere, this makes the bird a sighting worth having. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The Atlantic Puffin is a bird that seems to teeter back and forth between population problems. In the 1800s, the bird was under serious pressure due to the harvesting of its eggs by humans. Coming to shore to mate in cliff outcrops, the female laid only one egg. The losses thus were substantial and the bird nearly disappeared. Recently, populations have begun to grow again, but now new threats exist. Gulls and rat populations are once again threatening the breading grounds of these exquisite birds. Conservation efforts are fighting back and populations are at least remaining steady with some studies suggesting they are actually growing at a rate of five to ten percent. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If the opportunity presents itself, a birding expedition to sight the Atlantic Puffin is definitely worth a go. The birds have a relatively small onshore territory, which makes them a fairly rare find for the avid birder.</div>

The majority of thel hobby time is spent on making contact and having conversations with people in distant regions and from different cultures. Two way communications, identifying their location and station, zone, region and place is the usual custom. This is always followed by other casual communications. If the contact is made for a contest to make two way communication with as many stations or ham radio operators as possible, this all the information that is shared.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFdx_ij-MNkzXKO4MEFT2b1p_srFc7AGrxcuWKw59ytlW-cFiWIDKhLoo37NNO-lvQZ3Uw3m8UJPmensJDsqnaaOZgNwr49n29iYm7oYoX4b0JRTzvSztX9wKFvvz0KTJX75NvVC0rnFSk/s1600/2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="286" data-original-width="390" height="234" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFdx_ij-MNkzXKO4MEFT2b1p_srFc7AGrxcuWKw59ytlW-cFiWIDKhLoo37NNO-lvQZ3Uw3m8UJPmensJDsqnaaOZgNwr49n29iYm7oYoX4b0JRTzvSztX9wKFvvz0KTJX75NvVC0rnFSk/s320/2.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
DX-ing and DX-peditions:<br />
An amateur radio operator’s main hobby is to make contact with as many stations as possible from as many parts of the world as possible. DX stands for Distant Stations. The DX-ing usually is followed with the QSO. (a Q code., see below) which means “a conversation”.<br />
<br />
DX-peditions are different in the sense that they are expeditions organized / planned solely for the purpose of making contacts with some special or rare stations and regions. Some people travel long distance just to make contact with some unrepresented region or place.<br />
<br />
Radio Frequency scanners available now a days form the tool of great use in these attempts. The radio scanner scans for signals until a strong signal is found and so on.<br />
<br />
QSL cards:<br />
The Q code is a standardized collection of three-letter message encodings, all starting with the letter "Q", initially developed for commercial radiotelegraph communication, and later adopted by other radio services, especially amateur radio. In today’s audio signal transmission age, the Q codes are not essential. but still in use and are viewed as a sort of tradition.<br />
<br />
As a part of DX-ing and DX-peditions the QSL card or the proof of contact card is shared. QSL is one such Q-code that means “I acknowledge receipt”. The common practice was that the ones who made contact at a particular frequency exchange a QSL card in the mail to confirm their contact and conversations. These QSL cards can be used as a proof of their making contact and amateur operators who make contact with a certain number of other amateur radio operators in a specified time is awarded. Moreover, they are distinguished and honored since they are deemed to be efficient amateur radio operators.<br />
<br />
Remote region contacting:<br />
Some countries have less amateur radio operators, and making contact with these is considered special. So, when a radio amateur from these regions makes contact, other ham operators flock to make communication with this / these hams. Making contact with these less represented places has its awards and special considerations in the award programs.<br />
<br />
Hamfests:<br />
Social events for the ham families and friends. It’s something akin to the family oriented social fests where there are sales, exchanges, meetings and fun. Similarly, the fest is filled with selling and exchanging hams, meeting real life ham friends and fun events for a day or sometimes over few days.<br />
<br />
Discussion groups and Nets:<br />
Ham operators form a discussion group based on common interests other than ham or it can also be a ham related discussion group and they can form nets or networks.<br />
<br />
If a radio hobbyist gets involved with all of these different activities, he or she is sure to never be bored. Look into some of them, and see if you would like to get involved.<br />

<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
One of the most important things in getting you baby to sleep properly is for your baby to learn to sleep on his or her own. The reason it is so difficult for many parents - why parents of a newborn suffer from so many sleepless nights - is because your baby, at first, isn't used to sleeping on his own, and when he wakes up in the night he cries for his mother: being in the presence of his mother is only way he knows how to get to sleep. It is natural that this transition from sleeping with the mother, to sleeping on his own, will take some time for your baby. Many baby sleep tips involve setting up a strict nighttime routine, and introducing objects - such as stuffed animals - into the bed that your baby can associate with sleep. If you find after some months that your baby is still not able to sleep on his own, you can try what is known as the Ferber method.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Invented by Dr. Richard Ferber, the Ferber method is the most common way of weaning your child away from the mother, in terms of his sleep habits. It is usually successful within a couple of weeks. Nevertheless, it is important that you choose a week where you can afford to lose some sleep to begin the Ferber method. Especially at the beginning of the process, the Ferber method does require that you spend a lot of time listening to your baby crying, and if you attempt it at a time when you are desperate to sleep, you run the risk of breaking down and allowing your child to sleep with you, or sleeping in the room with him. If you do so you risk undoing a lot of work that you will have put into the method.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first night you attempt the Ferber method, put your child to bed as you normally do. Your baby should be tired but still awake when you put him to bed, so that he is left to fall asleep on his own. After you leave the room, the baby will inevitably start crying. Allow him to cry for about 5 minutes, then re-enter the room to console him. It's important that you stay in the room for only a short time - even if he is still crying - and that you don't pick him up or rock him. This second time you leave the room, wait 10 minutes before returning in the same manner. The third time wait 15 minutes, and set this as a maximum wait time for the rest of the night.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Every time thereafter, enter the room briefly and then allow your child to cry for 15 minutes. Eventually, he will fall asleep on his own during one of the 15 minute intervals in which you are out of the room. The second night, you should begin with a 10 minute wait before re-entering the room, followed by 15 and then 20 minutes. In a similar fashion, increase your initial and subsequent wait times by 5 minutes each night.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Using this method your child will soon learn to go to sleep on his own. Although it can be difficult to listen to your baby cry, understand that the Ferber method is a safe and effective way of getting your baby to learn to sleep on his own.</div>
</div>

Bird Watching in Tobago</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Exotic is the term that best defines Tobago bird watching, an exciting and rewarding experience for bird watchers. Tobago is the smaller island of the Trinidad and Tobago nation, the southern most island of the Caribbean, located off the East Coast of Venezuela.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Tobago bird watching focus on the marine environment and coral reefs as an unusual setting for bird watching. This island is home to numerous colonies of nesting Red-billed Tropicbirds, Magnificent Frigate birds, and Red-footed Boobies. Tobago is the place where introduction to birding in South American began.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Tobago has around 150 to 200 bird species of the 467 recorded in both Trinidad and Tobago. However, Tobago is a drier island, further offshore than Trinidad. It offers great birding with species not found anywhere else in Central America, including specialty birds, such as the Caribbean Martin, White-fringed Antwren, and Pale-vented Pigeon.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Birds of Tobago are not usually seen on Trinidad, the reason why it is convenient to take one of the many local tours, or schedule a bird watching activity with your actual tour operator. Another advantage of ecotourism and bird watching at Trinidad and Tobago is migration.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Some bird watching ventures are scheduled around the dates when birds form North America and other Caribbean Islands migrate to Tobago, adding a rewarding experience to bird watching. Tours offer visitors the nonpareil opportunity to watch jacamars, cocricos, hummingbirds, peregrine falcons, white-tailed sabrewings, ruby-topaz, and more.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
However, you can simply travel to Tobago pretty much any time of the year for good birding. Once there, planning a bird watching excursion is easy, particularly with the help of islanders who know better than anyone else where the best birding viewpoints are located. In fact, most hotels and resorts strongly suggest not engaging in bird watching without a local guide.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you are making the decision to head to Tobago for some bird watching, you can pick up an excellent book written by William Murphy - A Birder's Guide to Trinidad and Tobago. Murphy knows his stuff.</div>

<br />
Bird Watching is a great way to escape the rat race and be one with nature. Alas, your bird watching experiences can fade with time. The best way to prevent this is to keep a bird watching journal for your sightings and trips.<br />
<br />
Bird Watching Journals<br />
<br />
Take a minute to give some consideration to your most recent bird watching experience. What sticks out in your mind? Now think about the first time you ever went bird watching. Undoubtedly, you remember few things about the geography, people you went with, every bird sighted and so on. The experiences you’ve forgotten are lost to time. If you had kept a bird watching journal, this wouldn’t be the case.<br />
<br />
There are famous instances of people keeping journals throughout time. Of course, Anne Frank’s Diary is the best example. In her diary, Anne kept a running commentary of the two years her family spent hiding from the Nazis. While your bird watching experiences better be more lighthearted, keeping a journal will let you remember them as the years pass.<br />
<br />
A good bird watching journal combines a number of characteristics. First, it should be compact so you don’t have to take up unnecessary space for other things. Second, it should have a case to protect it from rain, spills and so on. Third, the journal should contain blank areas to write your notes. Fourth, the journal should contain cue spaces to remind you to keep notes on specific things. Cues should include:<br />
<br />
1. Who you went birding with,<br />
<br />
2. Where you stayed and if you enjoyed it,<br />
<br />
3. Who you met and contact information for them,<br />
<br />
4. The geographic and weather conditions, and<br />
<br />
5. The birds you sighted and added to your life list.<br />
<br />
At the end of the trip, you should be able to get the following from your journal:<br />
<br />
1. Contact information for other bird watchers and people you met,<br />
<br />
2. Enough detail to provide you or a friend with a guide if you travel to the location a second time.<br />
<br />
3. Memories to reflect upon years later, and<br />
<br />
4. Something to pass on to your children and grandchildren.<br />
<br />
To get the most out of your bird watching journal, you should write in it during and immediately after birding. Every sighting brings new experiences even if you’re just sitting in your backyard.<br />
<br />
Bird watching is a great way to commune with nature. Make sure to preserve the experience.<br />

In addition to enjoying the great outdoors and gaining an appreciation for nature, bird watching is a hobby that can be shared with friends and family. Many bird watchers find themselves healthier due to their time outside scanning the skies for that ultra-rare bird. If you are interested in beginning bird watching as a hobby, consider the following tips to get your started and on the right track.<br />

Bird watching is a fantastic hobby suitable for individuals of all ages.
<br />
1.) Get a book.<br />
<br />
Most bird watchers are not experts on our fine feathered friends from the start. Instead of thinking, a bird is a bird is a bird, think again! Birds are a fabulous species that are as diverse as any other set of creatures on this earth. Furthermore, most birds are readily identified by their coloration, so choose a book that has many color pictures suitable for matching the bird in the sky with the correct one in the book. Bird books are available for all different types of bird watchers, from children to adults interested in learning more about birds that the color of their feathers. Also, consider choosing a book with information about bird tracks, since you will be able to determine what types of birds are in the area by the tracks they make.<br />
<br />
2.) Listen to the music.<br />
<br />
Even if you cannot see the bird, you will be able to identify the bird through its song. In order to be able to correctly identify birds by sound, consider investing in a CD of bird songs. These are readily available for every budget, just be sure to choose a CD that identifies the species of bird that is doing the singing. Consider involving the entire family in learning how to identify birds by their songs, as these CDs are excellent ways to keep the whole family entertained on long car trips.<br />
<br />
3.) Join a club.<br />
<br />
The old saying, “birds of a feather flock together” also applies to bird watchers. There are groups all over the country—and the world where bird watchers join to socialize and converse about the different birds they have seen. If you are a new bird watcher, these groups will be great in getting you into the hobby, since most bird watchers have already learned how to identify birds by both sight and sound. Furthermore, bird watching clubs have a great deal of fun by organizing unique activities that incorporate their favorite hobby.<br />
<br />
4.) Bring the birds to your yard.<br />
<br />
Bird lovers and bird watchers often strive to entice birds to their yards, especially during the harsh winter months when food and proper shelter may be hard to find. Start by outfitting your yard with a bird bath, bird houses, and bird feeders. Depending on your location in the world and the types of birds that are native to your area, you should work to provide the correct food and houses for those species. Also, you may want to consider investing in a heated bird bath, especially if you live in cold climates where winter’s wrath can freeze the water in the bath, preventing your feathered friends from enjoying the water. Also, consider planting specific flowers and plants in your yard that will draw birds to your home. In addition to bringing beauty to your yard, these bird friendly plants will invite your flying pals to your home.<br />
<br />
However you decide to begin bird watching, do so immediately! Many individuals who experience stress-filled lives find that bird watching is the perfect activity to unwind and release the stresses and pressures of their work or home life.<br />

Choosing the right birdfeeder and/or birdhouse can be a rather difficult decision. Anytime is the right time to mount or hang your birdfeeder or birdhouse. As birds begin to search for a place to feed and create their nest, make sure your birdfeeders are mounted or hung and your birdhouse is ready for their inspection.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Birds that usually occupy bird houses include wood ducks, goldeneyes, buffleheads, mergansers, american kestrels, owls, woodpeckers, northern flickers, flycatchers, tree swallows, purple martins, titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, wrens, bluebirds, starlings, sparrows, and house finches.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Ever wonder which birdfeeder to use and/or what bird food will attract certain birds? Your solution is here. Use black oil sunflower seed in a tube feeder with a tray to attract cardinals, finches, jays, sparrows, chickadees, pine siskins, titmouses, nuthatches, woodpeckers, and redpolls. Use a thistle feeder with thistle seed to attract finches. Use a tube feeder with peanuts to attract cardinals, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, juncos, finches, titmouses, grackles, doves, and jays. Use a humming bird feeder with hummingbird nectar to attract, your guessed it, a hummingbird!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Many birds will establish an area of land and trees where they will not be disturbed by other birds. Although some birds, such as Tree Swallows and Purple Martins, love to have lots of other birds of the same type around them. Each bird requires different birdhouse measurements, so be sure you choose the right birdhouse for your wildbird interests.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Birds can be a bit choosy when finding their home. Some will inspect several houses before deciding on a particular one. You may wish to embellish your yard with many different birdhouses for your wildbirds to choose from, knowing that only one will be occupied. By giving them a choice, you might keep them from choosing the neighbors birdfeeder!</div>

<br />
Bird Houses<br />
Bluebirds and swallows seem to prefer a wide open area location for their birdhouse, but the robins like their nestboxes underneath eaves and in the trees. The nuthatches and wrens are attracted to a bird house that is mounted on the just inside a tree line. We carry wood bird houses for wrens, bluebirds, and bats. We also have decorative bird houses to decorate your yard and/or garden.<br />
<br />
Bird houses for the bluebird are deeper than for the swallows, nuthatches and wrens. One thing that always amazed me is the lack of cooperation from the birds in using the correct bird house. Birds like to invade each others domains when they are unoccupied. A simple solution to this would be to place predator guards under or above your bird house if you have problems with such predators. A predator guard can consist of a thin sheet of tin about 18 to 24 inches high rapped around a pole, post, or tree. There are many methods used but I have found this to be the easiest solution.<br />
<br />
Bird Feeders<br />
We have many different types of bird feeders. We have seed feeders, thistle feeders, globe feeders, window feeders, hummingbird feeders, haven and cage feeders, decorative bird feeders and the new squirrel-resistant roller feeder. Don't forget to provide water for your wild birds as well. Bird baths are an excellent way to provide water to your backyard birds. Be sure to clean the birdbaths when you add or change the water to prevent the birds from passing diseases to one another. One of the problems that has experienced with birdbaths is that bees take over the birdbath during hot days. The only solution we have found for this particular problem is by determining the main location of the bees and placing another birdbath or bucket of water with some wood floats inside.<br />

Put another way, you will need to know the best times for bird watching.<br /><br />Best Times for Bird Watching<br /><br />There is something to be said for the chase being most of the fun in life. If you have caught the bird watching bug, the chase is definitely going to be part of your task in gaining new entries for your life list. Simply put, there are good, okay and great times to seek out sightings. Understand these times and you will be on your way to some excellent sightings.<br /><br />A common mistake when birding is to assign human emotions and behavior to the birds you are viewing. Birds may appear to react as such, but they are not following typical human behavior. Instead, they appear to be primarily reacting to stimulus. This means it is foolhardy to assume they will follow the same schedule as we do. Yes, there are some similarities, but not too many.<br /><br />The old cliché is the early bird gets the worm. As with most clichés, there is something to this one. Most species of birds tend to be active early in the morning, much as humans are unless I haven’t had my coffee yet. No, birds don’t drink coffee, but many species definitely have a hankering for breakfast. Plan on heading out early if you want to sight a particular species in an active phase.<br /><br />Ironically, one of the poorer times to pursue bird watching is in the middle of the day. Although birds are in view, this tends to be an inactive time for many species. A better time to catch them is in the late afternoon when activity picks up before the onset of evening.<br /><br />Undoubtedly, you are thinking of a variety of species that do not fit within this general guideline and you are correct to do so. The simple fact is every type of bird has different patterns of activity. The obvious examples are owls, which certainly are not going to be of much interest during the day given the fact most species are sleeping. The lesson, therefore, is to take a close look at the particular species you are interested in and then tailor your viewing habits to its schedule.<br /><br />The best times for bird watching can generally be said to be the early morning and late afternoon. To avoid the occasional disappointment, make sure to research the specific tendencies of any particular bird you wish to observe.<br /><div><br /></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5710487402449200171.post-48502509857534417162018-08-24T09:10:00.000-07:002018-10-13T09:41:32.530-07:00Best Gift Ideas For Her And Him This Holiday SeasonHoliday shopping can be crazy—there are too many crowds, too many cars on snowy or rainy highways, and too much shopping stress where there should be holiday fun. The little ones can dig in the sand and splash in the lapping waves. The older ones can swim, get a tan, or just relax. The inquisitive types can explore for sea life, tide pools, and drift wood. The warm breezes and natural beauty are invigorating and restorative. Any trip, however, can cause discomfort if you do not plan well. Here are things you can do to make your beach holidays easier, safer, and more meaningful.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd6VTPASYYYEE0Jt81KxHoCp-RhUpi8pDWiSbk4iafwrYPyFeTOIcY-IyYcC85xkUbkn-H6-NXQbN1gF94V7k6jpU7tozPnoTCpmhppOG2eoZpi1_CiUslfvQIoNn6wL5Je-0AqUaaPZ2Z/s1600/Untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="304" data-original-width="467" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd6VTPASYYYEE0Jt81KxHoCp-RhUpi8pDWiSbk4iafwrYPyFeTOIcY-IyYcC85xkUbkn-H6-NXQbN1gF94V7k6jpU7tozPnoTCpmhppOG2eoZpi1_CiUslfvQIoNn6wL5Je-0AqUaaPZ2Z/s320/Untitled.png" width="320" /></a></div><br /><br />In many parts of the world, people head for their beach holidays in the family car. When planning a trip, it's always a good idea to give the car a good cleaning out first. This will give you more room for your luggage. Stock you glovebox, too, with a few first aid and comfort items, such as sunblock, acetominiphen for headaches, a roll of antacids, a few cough drops, and a few bandaids. Don't forget a couple of scrunchies or pony-tailers for long hair. Get the tires checked and replace any that are likely to go flat. Get an oil change if it's getting close. Road trips are not much fun when they include breakdowns. And whatever you do, make sure you have a map and a place to keep it handy.<br /><br />Travelling with kids is always a challenge. They may be particularly excited and impatient when they know they are going on beach holidays. Make sure they have cool water bottles and healthy snacks to munch. Try a simple car game to make the time pass. Many kids like looking for letters of the alphabet on signs. If several people get involved it can be quite fun.<br /><br />With beach holidays particularly, there is always a need to provide for skin safety. Be particularly careful about being in the sun for long stretches of time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Use a sunblock with a high SPF rating and replace it after getting wet or drying off with your towel. The towel you choose can make a difference too. Thick towels get heavy and tend to trap a lot of sand. You may find you like thin towels at the beach. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and some sort of foot protection to keep your feet from being burned on the hot sand.<br /><br />With a little preparation your beach holidays can be enjoyable and problem-free. When you arrive home you will be relaxed, refreshed, and ready for work. Take a minute to unpack and get your laundry going. It won't belong until the kids will be shouting, "When can we go on beach holidays again?"Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
